If you do any shopping at the mall this winter, you might be shocked to find that some stores—including Burberry, bebe, New York & Company, and others—still sell clothing made of real fur. We need your help to let your fellow mallgoers know that fur belongs on animals’ backs, not on a coat, a scarf, or a pair of boots.
Millions of rabbits, minks, foxes, and other animals are killed for their fur each year. Most of the fur that you’ll find on trashy scarves, boots, and jacket collars comes from fur farms, where animals are confined to tiny, filthy cages and surrounded by their own waste for years. They spend their entire miserable lives standing on thin cage wires, never having a chance to dig, jump, or play. Farmers kill them in horrible ways—some animals are killed by having their necks broken or their skulls beaten before being strung up by their legs and having their heads cut off, and others are killed by anal and vaginal electrocution. Yes, you read that right. Isn’t that sickening?
You can help save animals from being tortured in the name of “fashion.” Click the button below to order a stack of peta2’s new “Save Me: Be Fur-Free” leaflets, and give them out the next time you go shopping. (If you live in California or New Jersey, you’re even allowed to hand the leaflets out inside the mall—just contact your mall’s customer-service line to ask how.) We’ll send each person a pack of 25 leaflets, so use them wisely!

After you’ve handed out all your leaflets, e-mail a report to StreetTeam@peta2.com with all the details—where you handed out the leaflets, who took them, and what their response was. We’ll give you 1,000 Street Team points for participating and a 500-point bonus if you include a picture of yourself handing out the leaflets. If you aren’t on the Street Team, sign up now and start earning points!
